Call for papers

The 15th International Conference for Historical Lexicography and Lexicology (ICHLL15) brings together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world, specialising in the study of historical lexicography and lexicology. This conference provides a platform for exploring the histories of dictionaries, the evolution of language, the compilation of historical dictionaries, and the study of lexical and semantic changes through time.

The theme for ICHLL15 is Selected Pages from Selected Dictionaries.

While we encourage submissions aligned with this theme, we also welcome proposals on any topic related to historical lexicography and lexicology, including proposals for thematic workshops. Presentations can include ongoing research or works in progress, with all methodological perspectives and approaches invited.

Abstracts should be approximately 500 words (excluding references, tables, and figures) and submitted anonymously via Microsoft CMT using the template provided. Each proposal will be reviewed anonymously by at least two members of the Scientific Committee.

Accepted abstracts and the conference program will be made available online and will be freely accessible before the conference. Authors who present their work at the conference will have the opportunity to submit an abstract for an extended version of their paper for consideration for publication in Language Science Press’s book series, World Histories of Lexicography and Lexicology. Further details will be provided during the conference.
